Juventus officially announces Modesto as their new technical director. Comolli: "He will help the club grow."

François Modesto is the new Technical Director of Juventus , a position he assumes today "reporting directly to the Technical Director, Damien Comolli." The Bianconeri announced this in a statement. He will turn forty-seven in just over a month—on August 19th—François Modesto was born in Bastia and, after a career as a footballer spanning nearly twenty years, from 1997 to 2016, he immediately decided to embark on a career in management, holding senior positions in Greece, England, and Italy. François's first experience as Sporting Director and Head of Scouting came in 2016, in Greece, at Olympiacos, where he won three championships and a national cup.

In 2019, he moved to England to join Nottingham Forest, where he concluded his three-year tenure as Director of Football by helping the English club promote to the Premier League after a 23-year absence. Subsequently, in the summer of 2022, he arrived in Italy at Monza, newly promoted to Serie A, where he served as Director of the Technical Area, a role he will hold until the end of 2024. "I am delighted to welcome François to our team," commented Damien Comolli, General Manager. "His role will be central to coordinating the Technical Area (Match Analysis, Medical Department, Performance, and Psychology) and Igor Tudor's staff, helping to strengthen the club's sporting identity. François's choice is the result of careful consideration: we believe his experience, gained in diverse and competitive environments, and his knowledge of Italian football can make an immediate and lasting contribution to Juventus' growth."

"Joining such a glorious club is both an honor and a great responsibility," said François Modesto. "This club boasts an extraordinary history and a culture of victory that I deeply admire. I'm thrilled to embark on this new journey, working closely with Damien, coach Igor Tudor, and the entire staff to build an ambitious, modern, and successful project. I will dedicate all my experience and commitment to contributing to Juventus' success, both in Italy and in Europe."
